Orange Volunteer Fire House
625 Orange Center Road
A red brick fire house was built in 1935 with WPA funds for the Orange Volunteer Fire Association. An addition was added in 1963.
The Orange Volunteer Fire Association was incorporated in 1926 and remains an independent entity serving the community. Before the present fire house was built, equipment was kept in the abandoned station of the Derby-New Haven Railroad which stood on the site of the Orange Center Road Shopping Center just north of the Historic District.
