167 Porter Lane

A part of this house was formerly the rear portion of the house that stood on the property of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Woodruff at 562 Orange Center Road. During World War II when building materials were scarce, the Woodruffs moved the above portion to Porter Lane, a lot which was then the rear portion of Parcel 25.

In 1949 the Pollacks purchased the property from Mrs. Woodruff. Between 1955-60 the kitchen was enlarged, and a garage was moved and connected to the house. During the next five years a back porch and another wing were added. Mrs. Pollack indicates that three of the doors were part of the original building.
