Discussion of Public Questions
"This newspaper will provide ample opportunity for preliminary discussion of both sides of any question scheduled to come before the voters for official action," Vaill stated. "This I believe to be one of its major responsibilities to its supporters."
The paper also plans to publish a weekly calendar of coming events and important dates (for tax declarations, the making of voters, the licensing of bees and dogs, etc.), as well as other useful reminders.
There will also be a "Letters to the Editor" department.

Information Requested
A paper's chief source of income lies in its advertising, and its heaviest expenses are its production costs. Advertising rates cannot be set or printing contracts entered into, however, until probable circulation figures have been determined. The purpose of this present survey is to establish such figures -- that is, to find out how many would be willing to subscribe.
If the response gives promise of sufficient support, THE AMITY STAR will become a reality. A prompt expression of opinion will be appreciated by all concerned.
