Bethany Town Meeting --
(Continued from Page 2)
The Health Officer has issued a [?] certifying that the sewage disposal facilities are within the standards established by the Sanitary Code of the State Department of Health. Dr. Calhoun explained some of the difficulties encountered in connection with water pollution due to the relative locations of wells and cesspools.
Judge Knight spoke briefly about the Sanitary Code, and Messrs. W. B. Robertson and R. F. Burrows expressed their opposition to the proposed ordinance on the grounds that it represented the beginning of zoning regulations. Mr. Clark suggested that the ordinance be given further study before being acted upon. The question was then called for, and the motion was carried by a voice vote.
Road Signs, Police Discussed
Under the heading of "other business proper to be done" at the meeting, several additional matters were introduced. The question of road direction signs having been mentioned earlier in the evening, George D. Vaill asked what had happened to the signs which the Selectmen had been authorized to erect several years ago. Mr. Saxton explained that no money had been appropriated for the construction of such signs.
Mr. MacKenzie called attention th the fact that police protection was still lacking in front of the churches on Sunday mornings.
Mr. Robertson expressed his disapproval of the fact that no American flag was displayed in the meeting room.
Town Hall Committee Voted
Mr. Mendenhall then moved that the Selectmen be instructed to appoint a committee, from among interested and qulified persons, including representatives of various Bethany organizations, to study the question of the building of a new Town Hall, such committee to report to the Town at the next Annual Meeting. This motion was carried, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.M.

WOODBRIDGE HOST --
(Continued from Page 1)
most of the children of high school age from the three towns, with particular reference to possible joint action which mighit be taken in case the New Haven authorities decide that, because of overcrowded conditions, they can no longer accommodate pupils from these communities. Other towns in the State have found themselves suddenly confronted with a serious problem when high school privileges previously available have had to be withdrawn. Early planning for such contingencies can perhaps help to pave the way for a satisfactory remedy.
Another meeting is scheduled for January 8, with Orange acting as host to the other two towns.
