TV Newsreel
It's a rare TV audience these days that isn't regularly exposed to the modern "theatrics" of "rassling." You know ... it's that ancient art of matching muscles ... of getting and breaking death-holds ... of grappling in the canvas arena to the tune of whistles, catcalls and loud boos. Kids and parents alike seem to have caught the wrestling-watching bug. Maybe because the performances have the entertaining appeal of an old slap-stick movie. They pick their heroes .. boo their villains. And they know all along who's going to win. It's no wonder one metropolitan newspaper editor found a squabble on his hands. The sports editor wouldn't feature wrestling because it belonged in the "drama" dept. And the drama edtor said it belonged to the sports department. In either case ... there's no end of fun and amusement in watching the "groaners" on TV.
Magnavox is your best television buy. It's the name to remember ... the name to depend on. The new 1951 Magnavox set gives you more in clear, sharp viewing ... in smartly styled cabinet ... in long-range durability. We invite you to come in and see this fine set in action. Once you do ... you'll be sure to choose Magnavox Television from David Dean Smith, Jr., 262 Elm St. Phone 8-1101.
