The Hooked on the Sound (HOTS) Crochet Guild is a non-profit group of enthusiastic crocheters in New Haven county. HOTS meets monthly to share stitch successes, assist with pattern problems, education, and generally having a great time crocheting! Bring any crochet project you are working on or one you may need help with.

No registration is necessary.

In the sky above our head, there are wonders too numerous to count.  But what could we choose as the seven most remarkable objects visible, either with just our eyes or with a simple pair of binoculars or a small telescope? Seven objects which we might call, “The Seven Wonders of the Universe.” 
 

Joe Rao was Chief Meteorologist for News 12 Westchester for 21 years, garnering 8 Emmy Nominations, as well as many awards and citations. Rao comes highly recommended by astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson and Editor-in-Chief of the Farmers’ Almanac, Peter Geiger. In 2015 he won top honors in the category “Best Weathercast” by the Associated Press of New York. Since 1986 he has served as an Associate Astronomer at New York’s Hayden Planetarium.

Go on adventures! Fight monsters! Save the world! Claim loot!

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative, storytelling tabletop roleplaying game where you and other players take on the roles of different characters within a fantasy story.

This program runs monthly. Drop-ins are welcome and strongly encouraged to bring a LEVEL 3 character sheet (in the event that a player does not have one, a premade character sheet will be provided). Minimal knowledge of D&D gameplay is required for this session.

Come play at our homemade obstacle course designed just for preschoolers! We’ll build with blocks, go through tunnels, and jump in and out of hula hoops while going around and around. This event will be held in the Meeting Room.
